Frequently Asked Questions
If you book a free 15-minute phone call in with me, you will have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have about me or the therapeutic process. However, below is a list of Frequently Asked Questions.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT FOR MY FIRST THERAPY SESSION?
Your first session is all about getting to know you. We'll explore what's bringing you to therapy, what's feeling challenging, and what you'd like to get out of our time together. I may ask lots of questions to get a good idea of what your 'world' looks like. You can expect gentle, supportive space where you're welcome to show up exactly as you are - no pressure, no expectation to 'have it all worked out'.
HOW DO I BOOK MY FIRST SESSION?
You can either start by booking a free 15-minute phone call. This gives us a chance to chat, answer any questions you have, and see if we're a good fit. If you're ready to go ahead, you can also book your first session during this call.
HOW MANY SESSION DO I NEED?
There's no one-size-fits-all answer. We'll talk about this together at the beginning, and I'll continue to check in with you throughout our work. For some people, a few sessions is what they need. For others, longer-term support is more beneficial. I will provide you an idea of what this would look like in our first session together.
WHAT IF I NEED TO CANCEL OR WANT TO RESCHEDULE MY APPPOINTMENT?
Life happens - I get it. I ask that you provide at least 24 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. If you cancel with less than 24 hours notice, a full session fee will apply.
DO I NEED A DIAGNOSIS OR A GP REFERRAL
Not at all. You don't need a diagnosis or a referral to access therapy with me. You are welcome to self-refer at any time. I can also accept referrals if you are working with other health professionals.
